A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

A mysterious long-forgotten force has returned to exact vengeance on the Hakurei Shrine while Reimu is afflicted with food poisoning. In her place, help Mokou defend Gensoukyou from the ghosts of days past!

This is Spirits in Memetic Paradise (aka. 東方陰陽葬), a Touhou-style shoot-em-up. Collect yellow gems to activate your Bullet Time ability, which slows down time and allows you to slide your way out of tough spots!

Play on the traditional easy/normal/hard/lunatic modes, or take advantage of the custom difficulty mode, which allows you to fine-tune not only the number of bullets but also your graze radius, the rate at which you gain faith or Bullet Time meter, enemy suicide bullets, and much more!

Mac: Unzip the archive to your hard drive and run SiMP_5.0.3_Mac.app. Note that some newer OS versions disallow almost all applications not distributed through the App Store, so you may not be able to play it due to permissions issues. In that case, you can use the itch desktop app.

No matter what I try when unzipping it, or what I use (Rar included), it keeps coming up with black screen and a title, but never moves from it

Please send me a message on Discord (my username is Bagoum) with the most recent log file from DMK_Logs in your game folder as well as the Player.log file from AppData/LocalLow/Bagoum/Danmokou, and we can try to debug

I don't have discord

I tried redownloading it and I think it worked, guess the title screen never loaded properly on previous downloads.

Hi, is there a way to change button configuration?

Yes, though it’s not in-game. After you launch the game once, you can see a file called “input.txt” in the DMK_Saves folder. You can edit that file to change the mapping for the focus, fire, and bomb buttons. The input key numbers are in “input_reference.txt” in the same folder.

thank you so much. love the game.
